Steve is really pleased with his new neck brace device. Read the interview we made with him about the Defnder.

Q. Steve, why did you think that the DefNder would benefit your driving experience?
A. While driving a monster truck, every landing is really intense and a device such as the DefNder makes it safer for the drivers, because without proper restraint, drivers can suffer serious neck injuries. Without the DefNder, I've always try to drive in a "out of control" way, but at least now, I feel safe doing it.

Q. What do you like the most about this neck brace? Is it more comfortable than what you've tried before?
A.The way it is designed. It works with your seat belts and really holds your head in place. The Real-eze quick release on your helmet is also really efficient and simple to use. The DefNder is definitely more comfortable than other devices I've tried. First, the seat belts go over a strap on the DefNder. It makes it easier on your body. Other devices apply more pressure on your collar bone because they are rigid, whereas the DefNder rides on your collar bone no different than your seat belts would.

Q. You tried the DefNder for the first time this weekend, in Montreal. How was it to drive on a big floor like the Olympic Stadium with a device such as the DefNder?
A. When I landed after my first hit, I knew that I would have fun that night because my neck did not feel any strain. The Olympic Stadium is a big floor with bus stacks, and a lot of big obstacles. It was awesome to be able to drive the way I wanted, without worrying about getting hurt.
